Purushartha
Our shastra's speak of four purusharthas , like Dharma, Artha ,Kama and Moksha.
On seeing a flower , our reaction can be either
1) To offer the flower to god : Dharma
2) To sell it and make money : Artha
3) To give it to our sweet heart : Kama
4) To see and enjoy the beauty without disturbing the flower : Moksha
All our actions are thus representative of these Purushartha's

Basavanna on Vaak Shuddhi

says the sage. i.e. Do not boast of yourself and do not denigrate others. These two aspects if followed scrupulously can lead to social success as well as Vaak Shuddhi eventually leading to spiritual awakening.
